Help The All Puppet Players

I wanted to take a quick break from what I regularly talk about to tell you about The All Puppet Players.  My sister called me yesterday and asked if I would do a little shout out on her latest project. (So, maybe not TOO far from what I regularly talk about haha)  For those of you who don't know, my sister and her husband own a small, nomadic theater troupe called The All Puppet Players. They do shows with "Muppet" style rod puppets. Some of their past shows include Hamlet Has No Legs, Frankenstein Has No Legs, Avenue Q, The Exorcist Has No Legs, Top Gun and Fifty Shades of Felt. As you can tell from the titles of the shows, we don't do kids shows. It puppet theatre for adults. You know, like how Muppet movies are still hilarious as an adult? Well, their shows are funny FOR adults to start with. Believe me, SO funny!

Their shows have received great reviews and awards. Up till now they have been a nomadic theater troupe, as I mentioned before. Meaning, they travel around from theater to theater. This year, they have been offered a residency at a theater in downtown phoenix (where they live) in the theater district. This would mean that they would be able to do an entire season of shows in the same theater and build a strong following.

To do this, however, they need money. Today they have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help do just that! Kickstarter is a website that allows small enterprises, like them, to raise money to fund new and innovative ideas. You can contribute anything from $1 to $10,000. Any donation is appreciated! With every donation there are rewards for you, as well, so you won't walk away empty handed. SUPER COOL! (I totally got tickets for Me and The Boyfriend to see them when they come out to California!)  Most of the rewards are essentially pre-buying your tickets to the show. Don't worry all my California friends! Their next season will include two shows out here, as well as 4-5 shows out in Arizona.

If you are thinking of donating, we would love for you to do so now! Statistics show that campaigns that do well in the first couple of days are more likely to receive contributions from outsiders who are looking to contribute to a good project. So, we are asking our family and friends to donate ASAP to help get our campaign out there and inspire others to contribute.

The link to the Kickstarter campaign is HERE

I would just LOVE to see my sister and brother in law reach their goal and be able to have a home theatre! Any and every donation will help! Please share this project with everyone you know. Feel free to share their "We Want You" photo on your Facebook page with the link as well. Help a great cause and a couple who loves bringing joy to the world one laugh at a time. Please enjoy this promo video that will explain their project in detail, and probably make you laugh. Thank you!!
